Steven G. Sorell

Attorney

Steven G. Sorell received his MBA from the University of Chicago in 1975. He then began working his way up the corporate ladder, through progressive positions in controllership, finance and administration at several national and global, multi-million dollar corporations, such as Flying Tigers, Montgomery Watson Americas, Graham & James and Jonathan Manufacturing.

While gaining invaluable business perspective, Steve continued his education as well.   He earned a Masters in Business Taxation from the University of Southern California in 1988, a law degree from the University of California at Los Angeles in 2001, and finally became a Colorado CPA in 2005.

Steve cut his legal teeth with associate positions first at the international firm of Latham & Watkins LLP, and then with the international silk-stocking firm of Sidley Austin LLP.  After several years of learning the ropes – and observing an increasing disconnect between business problems and legal solutions – he opened his own practice with the intent of trying to bridge that gap.

Steve is a member of the Pasadena Chamber of Commerce, Irwindale Chamber of Commerce, Pasadena Bar Association, Los Angeles County Bar Association Business and Corporations Law Section and Trusts and Estates Section, as well as The State Bar of California.  He has been named one of the Top Attorneys in Pasadena for two years running, since the peer-review award began running in 2009.
